Today I have a guest post. This is the first time I’ve done this, but I thought what better way for me to tell you about someone whose health has been changed because of doTERRA than straight from the horse’s mouth. My co-worker and dear friend Cheryl is here to tell you her story.
Cheryl Tuttle – My Gut History
“About 4 yrs ago I had gallbladder removed. After that was removed, I started to have chronic constipation. Always feeling bloated and my overall energy level was poor most of the time. Most months, I would feel good a handful of days. I had consulted with doctors and had the endoscope done which did diagnose a hiatal hernia, but no cause for my other issues. They told me I probably had ITB with constipation.
There was a Rx I could take that could help. I did try the medicine prescribed by my doctor and it helped, but it was a new medicine so the monthly expense was costly. I stopped taking the medicine and just leaned to live the the issue, learning that if I ate less my symptoms weren’t so bad. During this time I began to feel depressed and anxious. At the time I had 3 kids at home and things were just stressful and I didn’t feel good which didn’t help. I consulted my primary doctor and I started on anti-depressants/anxiety medicine. That actually seemed to help my gut, their reasoning was that people’s bodies deal with stress in different ways, mine happen to be gut issues.
Over the next 2-3 years my symptoms would come and go, I continued the anti-depressant/anxiety medicine but still have issues from time to time. This past year became very stressful, my oldest son became a Marine. The first child out of the house is bad enough but being in the military stationed in California with limited contact is enough to do any parent in. Then the coal mine my husband works for started to lay employees off; more stress. Middle child turning 16 – eek! After feeling bad for so long I had decided to go back to the doctor and knew I would probably have to have a colonoscopy. Well, two reasons I don’t want that done – the prep and the expense even with insurance.
I have been using the doTERRA vitamins and oils for some time and decided before going back to the doctor to give the Zendocrine and TerraZyme a try. It couldn’t hurt! I was amazed that after taking these supplements 1 day my symptoms started to lesson. A week into the supplement, I was at a cookout and they had fresh sweet corn, I love this but normally would cause me major trouble. I decided to go for it, guess what – no trouble. After two weeks, I am amazed at the difference in how I feel. I have been able to eat and not feel bloated, have been very regular in the intestinal area, and my energy and mood are much better. My plan is to continue with the supplements and my other doTERRA vitamins and oils. I don’t know what I would’ve done without them.”
