One More Iron in the Fire

Keeping to the name of my blog (that you think I abandoned), we have added another iron to the fire.  Coming in September…Baby Sister #3.  WOW!  It was nothing that we ever planned to happen in our lives at this point in time, but God apparently had different plans for us.  For whatever reason, He thinks that I am a good enough momma to handle another GIRL!  He sure has a lot more faith in me than I do.  🙂

This little nugget is set to arrive right around her biggest sister’s 6th birthday.  God help me if I have her that day.  I’ll never forgive myself.  She probably won’t either.

When we first found out that we were expecting again, all I could do was turn to His Word.  I had to continually remind myself that I’m not in control of my life.  God is.  I can plan all I want, but it doesn’t matter.  His plans prevail.  I want to share a few of the verses I have had to return to during this pregnancy.  I hope they help you and you can find peace in reading these verses.

“For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope.”  Jeremiah 29:11

“And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose.”  Romans 8:28

“And so, from the day we heard, we have not ceased to pray for you, asking that you may be filled with the knowledge of his will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding,”  Colossians 1:9

“Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God.  And the peace of God, which surpasses all comprehension, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”  Philippians 4:6-7

I want to ask my readers to pray with me for our new baby as well as pray for me.  🙂  I mean 3 girls…I’m gonna need all the prayers I can get.

I’m going to try to get back at it and keep you updated, even with one more iron in the fire.

  1. What a powerful and uplifting message to read. I am no longer a mom of young children but I’m a grandmother that enjoys spending time with my grand babies. Your words touched my heart and you are a true inspiration to me. Love ya L!
